That's a bit harsh.
The reason I say that is it's likely she's seen nothing but the 'crackwhore' lifestyle, if what you say about her mother is true. So, if she's never known any differently, how can she want a lifestyle that is different to that?
It'd be different if she's had a healthy upbringing, but I think it's terribly insensitive to say she likes the lifestyle.
That'd be like saying I liked it when I was too ill to work, or something, to use myself as an example (and no, I didn't. Work isn't fantastic, but I'd take it anyday over not having a job).
