Thanksgiving is almost here in the U.S., heralding the start of the holiday season and the first of many meals where you might be confronted with a traditional dish that you happen to find disgusting. What holiday food do you hate to see on the table?
I find lots that my family has for thanksgiving disgusting.
I don't eat green bean casserole, yams/sweet potatoes, those nasty jello mold things, the fruit salads with the whipped cream. my family has polish sausage and sauerkraut on thanksgiving i won't touch that with a ten foot pole. they like to make beets too I don't eat beets. my big thing is having food touching that should not be touching. I hate that, all plates should be forms of school trays with slots for everything. I don't like salads with artichokes in them so while they do make plain salad(sometimes) they load it with crap that has juice and drips on the lettuce and gives everything a nasty taste(another of my crap should not be touching things) I mean put salad toppings separate like they do at a salad bar for god sakes. I love salad but not the crap they add to it and then I don't eat it. I don't eat potato salad either which my mom always makes this time of year for family things.
with desserts my aunt whips up whipped cream but she doesn't sweeten it and it's bland and disgusting so anything that the white crap is on i won't touch even if they paid me unless i can scrape all of it off. (and she makes a few desserts covered in that crap which is sad)
Yes i am picky I totally know that lol
and honestly if i am other places and there is something i know i don't like i just don't take it and have a tad more of something i do like (like mashed potatoes and gravy yuum and white turkey meat)
